#5 Animals sightseeing in WA

I love cute animals.Domestic dogs and cats in Malaysia are all cute enough to make me wanna cuddle them. Especially the new born, I actually mean the baby poddles at my home.=P

Xt and I were surprised by the diverse species of wildlife in Australia. Everyone talks about kangaroo and koala bear in concern to Australia. But not everyone knows about emu, wombat and llama. Not to forget quokka and pelican.

Kangaroo were easily spot in WA, some are tame, some are wild. You will see dead-lying kangaroo at the roadside as well. But we prefer those alive that still hopping around.

Caversham Wildlife Park was included in our tour to the Pinnacle Desert. They sent us a guide to show us around. Due to time constrain, they only showed us three species that is native to Australia, the kangaroos, wombat and koala.

I swear I had never seen such a big size kangaroo in Malaysia before. They were tall. Some were a size of a 10-years-old kid when they stood up. We were allowed to fed them with fodder and touched them gently.Bruce, our host told us that he had seen 2-meters-tall kangaroo, the biggest species of their type.

They lied gracefully LOL Xt said their legs were too long so they had no choice.:目

White kangaroo! It was not an albino but it was breed from an albino and a normal brown kangaroo.

Koala. They called them Ko-a-la. They were good sleepers, clung to the eucalyptus trees. None of them opened their eyes to greet us.:/ But they were still the apples of the eyes! We were allowed to touch them gently on their back. Their food was eucalyptus. We were told not to in contact with the leaves, because this might left behind some scents, and the Ko-a-la wouldn't take them anymore.

They were cute, weren't them?

Of course, we would't miss the chance to take photo with this cute creatures!

Can't resist their cuteness so I bought this. $5.00. But don't buy it in Caversham Wildlife Park like me, because Freo Market sold it in cheaper price $2.50.T.T

We met another sleep addicts, the wombat. This wombat love sleeping while being hold. We were only allowed to touch its hind legs. He was shy and very sensitive. Despite its clumsy-figure, it can reach up to 40m/h when threatened. Lesson of the day, don't judge a book by its cover.

------------------------------------------------------------------

We took another tour to Waverock. And surprisingly, they stopped at a Wildlife Park for dinner. So after having our bento, we went for a quick visit around the park.

Ko-a-la again! But he faced his butt to us,

Then emu.Emu is the second largest species of bird.Of course, the largest is ostrich. There were products made from emu oil, used to treat skin problem and etc.

Then, the highlight of the day. Llama. I was super duper excited to see llama ..! Llama is known as 草泥马 or 羊驼。They were super cute!!! One brown and one white in the farm. They were timid. Even a wind blow would scared them off.

They were lovely.Very cartoon-looking. I tempted it to come nearer with some grass. They were very careful and suspicious. Basically I gotta stayed static, just a step nearer, it would run like no tomorrow. lol cute things!

Then xt spotted camels. And keep on urging me to leave the llamas and go to see them. I got not much interest in camels lah. Xt said we don't have camels in Malaysia? I believed I had seen few in the zoo?!  =目

Bonus of the day!
Very noisy unfriendly donkey.

He hid his face.
