#1 Perth and WA Late Winter Travel

Bello Australia!! After booking the air tickets for almost one year, it finally comes to us. We are ready to go.

We are really really excited about the trip, because this is the first time we fly out of Asia. We are flying to the loneliest town ever in the world--Perth.It is called the loneliest because it is 2000 miles away from the eastern cities like Sydney and all that.

Some of you are asking 'why'? Why not Melbourne, Sydney or Gold Coast. So, well, here's the answer:

1.We believed cities like Sydney and Gold Coast will cost a lot more and we wanted to minimize our travel expenses. We are still students with no income after all, right? I'm using up most of my scholarships which made me really poor now.

2.We wanted to visit places with plenty of natures after our visit to Hong Kong (you know right, a city full of high-rise buildings). We figured out that this place will give us a lot of natural sight-seeing opportunities, like the amazing Waverock, Pinnacles, and even whale-watching. *Phew, feeling excited again*.=P

3.As a matter of fact, Perth is a really small town. Some will say:This city is boring.Other will say: There is nothing interesting in the city, it is really small. But,we are going to explore places out of Perth---the Western Australia, there is much awaiting us out there.I have to keep my eyes open.

Yellow is the dominant color in Australia, said the tour guide, Mike. The yellow fields are canola.

Previously, I'm blogging my travel diaries in Chinese, but this time is going to be in English (easier to go with the place's name.)

So, the airfares cost us RM800/pax, which really chilled us up at the beginning. But later, Air Asia is giving out promotion again, and some of the prices are even cheaper than what we got in the first place. This is really pissing us off.

Tips: Do not ever check the airfares again after you booked your tickets.Heartbroken :/

Perth is the capital of Western Australia. WA is such a big piece (Australia's largest state). See the green piece. There is no way we can travel WA within 8 days. In that case,we have chosen some cities based on the distance and cost.

Our itineraries, 23/8-30/8/2013
EDIT: I've typed this long before we depart. And I edited this. This is in fact what we managed to do in the end.But it's quite similar with what we have planned in the first place.

Loong Moon Cake Shop

Xt and I love visiting this cafe. Despite its cozy homey feel, it has all the decorations I love---Polaroid photos on wall, lovely wall paper and paintings, red polka dots tables and all dainty little things. I actually told xt I want my future home decorated like that. I want to hang our travelling photos on one of our wall. Then, I wanted so much to have Eiffel Tower wallpaper. LOL.

I hope my future home wouldn't look like a cafe after all.

If it does, I consider selling coffees and cakes lah =P

Yes, the decoration is good. It gives a great ambiance, and you will feel comfortable to talk, to laugh.

It is not like you are having fine dining in some high class restaurant where the staffs keep spying on your glass, to see whether you need some refills. *Sigh* I really don't like peeking eyes, you can't even act normally under their eyes.

And of course, the food. They have signature chocolate fondue which is comparably cheap (RM19.90). Bad news is they don't offer ice-cream like Haagen Dazs. Anyway, I am totally fine with fruits like strawberry, kiwi, banana and grapes and of course marshmallow.

We finished up the whole bowl. I tried to dig out as much as I can.

Xt : You want to lick the bowl?
Me : Yes,hmm Can I ask for one more marshmallow?
Xt: *Looks away*

They sold cakes as well. They have rainbow cake and etc.But I haven't get to try.

Other than desserts, they have their own homemade recipe. Xt ordered chicken chop rice and me ordered their special Tom Yam spaghetti which are yummy! Plus, the prices are average. That's what pleased us the most.

We visited for two consecutive days.On the second day, the waiter asked if we wanted to take a free photo and leave messages on it. We said yes.*yeay, free photo*. We love it pretty much although we both look casual that day. One day we will go back to check on it.:)

But the way, Xt's handwriting is awful. Haha.

#2 Ice skating@Sunway Pyramid & I City Trick Art Museum@Shah Alam

Why is August 2013 special to me?

It has been a while since I last pay visit to Xt's place. This time we are going to Sunway Pyramid for a special mission--ice skating.*wink*Phew,I have been talking about ice skating and I city to xt since last year. Just the timing is not right for us so we keep it until today.

Gained some energy in Sushi Zanmai.

This was yummy. The thought is: Can they open branches in Ipoh?

I have little dream about ice skating. The snowy white skating arena, the graceful movement of the skaters. You know right ,how they perfectly glide through the space, moving fast like they it is completely easy and natural.

So, with this excited young-children-heart, we bought tickets to gain entry into the skating arena. It was like anticipated little girl finally got herself into a pier. We 'armed' ourselves with the ice skates. At the moment, I thought: 'quite okay wor' ,I can still walk despite it is a little bit tight.

Though, it is ultimately different when you finally set your foot on the ice. They were right.

Ugly truth, what you think you would do was completely opposed with what you can do.

Zi Fu told me for new learner you got to stick yourself onto the wall for the first 30 minutes. The truth is... I was a complete slow learner who afraid to fall. I got myself attached to the wall most of the time.

Among the four, only Jessie and I never skate before. I thought I would have her company because both of us know nothing about skating. The fact is she was a fast learner, she managed to learn the way to glide rapidly. When I was doing my first round, she already completed her second; when I was doing my second, she probably completed her five.

It ain't easy. It only looks easy.

At least I can stand lah =P

I really don't get the correct way to slide over the ice. I need a coach.:( Thanks xt babe for the patient and tolerance. He was willing to guide me all the way, keep me a company eventhough I was a slow crawling snail. Sometimes, I got him confused to an extent he forgot the way to skate. LOL

Ahaha,so after a couples of hours, I did made progress. At least I was not so worried about falling anymore. But I could not skate freely like others. I kept holding xt. Just in case I fall, both of us will fall. LOL

So yeay, after skating and dinner we headed to I-City for the beautiful lights and Trick Art Museum. My camera is not good enough to capture the lights :(.Well, not everything has to be captured;somehow the goodies remain in heart.

Let the pictures do the talking.
1.Lights

2. I city

3.Sunflowers

4. Ehhhhehh, we are falling

5. Xt : This picture cost us RM10 each. I said: Very nice mah.

Previously when we checked on internet, we learnt that the entrance fee is RM5. I think this museum is getting more and more popular, so they raised the price to RM10.

Xt told me that the new Wax Figure Gallery has officially opened for public today and the ticket priced RM80. Very expensive =( We should have take photo with Mr. Bean while it was still free to touch and see, sigh (They are moving the wax figure into the gallery on the day we visited)

6. Xt was getting more and more picturesque. He is cute.

7. Friendship never die

8. Penguins are cute

9.He is good at acting

10.Beautiful

10.Bye

A fun day with old old friends.Catching up is love.

#1 Why is August 2013 special to me?

Well,August is my birthday month. I guess people tend to prefer their birthday month than the others, mainly because that particular month represents them. Throughout the year, this is the month which finally means something to me.

p/s: I am so blessed that my semester break falls on August as well. This doubled up my intense preference towards August.

Orrzz, my precious and once-in-a-life-time 21st birthday was finally happened to me. It is not a big grand celebration, but i loved every bit of it.

The celebration was first started in the end of July with my dearest Ji Mui, so-called VIP. It is a must-do routine every year where we will celebrate one another's big day. I hope we can continue doing this for each other even after we got married, pregnant or grew very old till we all have crinkles  LOL

Jessie Teh : You better join us in next gathering!

So,they 'planned' or I guess they are doing it extemporaneously after the movie. Of course,I can see it coming, very obviously. They even used old tricks that we did for Joey--claimed that they want to buy some cakes for family.o.o

After having dinner in De Garden, they brought me to Chatime. I can tell they are seriously running out of ideas. *Still trying to pretend innocent*. Anyway, they bought me five pieces of Secret Recipe. The bad thing is we can't make them stand nicely. For aesthetic purposes, we placed all the candles onto two pieces of them. That's why it looks so crowded.

I am so grateful to have your girls around me. I really don't care all those failing surprise =P Next time a better trick perhaps?

On my birthday eve, xt and my family celebrate my birthday at MichelangelOs, which is a famous pizzeria in Ipoh town. I have to say their pizza is among the best in the town.

We ordered 'This Week Special'--Hog Extreme. Thumb up.My saliva is dripping down while recalling the taste when typing this post. We are definitely coming back for more Homemade Wood-fired pizzas. I personally think their pizza is more authentic and yummier than their pastas.

HOG EXTREME

Cabonara

My sister who is a cheese-lover, claimed that their Cabonara spaghetti is really good, which I don't think so.
But the way, I think normal people who loves cheese will love it. =P

Garden Spaghetti

Tuna Spaghetti

Xt got me Baskin Robbin Ice-cream cake, chocolate-mint flavor, which is our favourite.! Babe, I love everything you did for me :) It was so yummylicious!!!

Mum and dad.

Starbucks wishes me birthday as well by giving out a piece of free cake.Don't forget to claim it during your birthday month! Chocolate Banana is not bad.lol

The celebration never end. Xt and I dine in Secret Garden in the afternoon. The portion is small. We headed to 天津茶室 (Thean Chun) for our No.1 Ipoh 'Kai Si Hor Fun' after that! Food Food Food. We even have chocolate fondue as dessert in Chemor.

Ipoh Must Try No.1 鸡丝河粉, with its special flavor, prawn-based soup.

All of these really made my day!!! Thank you.

p/s: Thanks for all the wishing, cakes, card and gifts from all of you.
